  1. You are correct that F8 during post wont do a damn thing, but just because you decided to point out the flaw in my wording, I will point out yours. The keystroke actually register after the POST, but just before windows begins to load. If you wait until your PC is actually loading windows, F8 will not do a damn thing. Now, try explaining how to hit the F8 key just before windows starts loading and just after POST finishes over the internet. The person will probably miss it every time. Jabbing the F8 key during post (and after) will ensure it catches at the right time, which is why I said that. Very pertinent to this thread though, I will give you that.
  2. boot in safe mode: Press f8 repeatedly during post until you get the option to choose your boot mode.
  3. I have 21st for the cars and progressive for the bike. Got the best rates that way.
  4. Agreed, he was shoving that guy then slipped the knuckles on, we know what he had in mind, was going to try and be sneaky in the pit.

  6. fun to do just because you can, and in a pinch thats great, but I would rather spend $25 for a smaller unit that uses less power and makes less noise.
  7. Just throw some 31" A/T tires on it (check they will fit first) and be done. That will be plenty capable for any ohio snow and capable enough off-road to have fun. In all reality, all-season tires are better for snowy roads anyway. Once you start jerking with your suspension you start toying with reliability/longevity in the drivetrain, though 2" wouldnt be that bad really, especially if you plan on getting rid of it in the spring. Just having 4wd is a blast though, no matter what you do. http://www.4wheelparts.com
  8. I know this doesnt belong here, but: Sorry for your loss. The two nicest cars in the corral are yours, and it must take a very mature and caring individual to part with both so suddenly. I will be the first to donate to a fund, perhaps we could help getting your cars to ebay? If anyone else is down let me know.
  9. Yeah that is a bit low. 128mb is the absolute minimum I would run it on. Put 2000 pro on it with IE6 and it should cruise. Then again, that is a newer laptop, right? Should be able to pick up a 256mb stick of ram from ebay for about $30, that would do the trick since you already have the software installed. Honestly though that shouldnt cause it to "lock up," just run extrememly slow. Can you get to the task manager to check what process is taxing your CPU when it locks up?
  10. I have run it on a 466mhz with 128mb, though the upgrade to 256mb helped considerably. What is yours? What exactly locks up?
  11. You would also think he would get back in the truck after it bumped the curb the first time.
  12. The right buyer would yield close to $7000, I would guess. That car stock will sell right now for $5500 no problems.

  15. ...again.. Ken had his moment, time to move on.
  16. Ken is just in it for the money now, I think. Surely he doesnt believe he will win
  17. No one can tell you what jets to use that will perform the best. You can get close with suggestions of riders that are local to you, but to get it right you should have it dyno tuned. Is your bike stock? Does it run like ass? The easiest tweak would be to lean the needles a bit.
  18. I tried "on the border" once and would not be disappointed if I never went there again. Not bad, just nothing special IMO. Although they do have some damn original and tasty appetizers.
  19. welcome to the world of hip-hop. lyrics, beats, loops etc. its always been the trend. (calm down rap enthusiasts, of course not ALL of it)
  20. Open Services, is it set to automatic? Right click the service and check the properties. Under the recovery tab, you may want to tell it to restart the service after the first fail. Double-check the services that audio is dependent of, you may just be seeing the surface of a larger issue. Recovery of RPC service should be a restart. Is this Pro or home?
  21. The flush is a chemical that you run for about 5 minutes before a change. Synthetic has detergents that work mile after mile... You may drive 2000 miles before leaks start to develop.
