dude get the 1125 at cycle search for 4k. toss it to paul for plastics and get a new swingarm over the winter and some rear turn signals, ready to go.

I went to cycle search and passed on the 1125. its not in bad shape but need bodywork (obviously) but there is some electrical mystery and slightly bent swingarm. i did get the 1000rr though

I usually dont like white bikes or cars, but that 1125 looks nice in white!

are these still available for dirt cheap new anywhere near by? Cycle Search as a beatup one (2008) with a rebuilt title for $4k and won't budge....

Right now, it's a toss up between a CBR1000RR and Buell 1125R for me. I just don't know if I'd be happy riding the 1125R because I feel awkward when I ride other ppls bikes that have a more "standard" stance...

nice how do you like it? i have my eye on the one at cycle search, i just dont know how id like the ride. i like my 600rr and obviously the 1125R is very different....

There's always jobs and contracts for cyber security out there, the big deal about this is that there will be an entire division dedicated to cyber security - in DC. Fort Meade, specifically. There's a "Cyber Gladiator" position open with Raytheon in Melbourne!! sounds like some futuristic cage match...

Gov pay in DC relative to cost of living SUCKS. BAD. As a GS-12 (what most of those cybersecurity positions will be at minimum) you'd only make 86k, compared to 70k here. 16k is definitely a difference but not enough to make up for the huge cost of living difference. Also, you can count on many many contracts coming out of this so there will be many civilians jobs coming too. They will still require security clearances, of course, but in DC, that's a dime a dozen so in order to be competitive for these jobs, you'll need one.

I've been watching this for a looooooong time, since the AF first started talking about a Cyberwarfare command. The only thing holding me back is DC....it sucks.
