Noted. Sadly, it still lights the road better than my stock headlights did on my cobalt, with two high beams
Pick up a set of DDM HIDs, I hated my R6 headlights until I got a hold of a set of those.

A lot of people tell me my headlight is out. So I fiddle around under my fairings and then flip on the brights and say it's fixed now
Haha, I get that almost every time I take my bike out. Think I'm gonna adopt your response.

1. Never had a bike long enough to have a clutch go out, but i know the R6 I'm on now was raped on by the previous owner and the clutch still holds strong.
2. I just put new tires on this winter, I just rode a lil slower until the tire wasn't shiny anymore. Only takes a few trips.
3. I think it's been pretty well covered. A quick Google search will turn up guides as well. As state though you would be better off to start on a factory frame for ease of registration and knowing that the frame it true/straight and strongly welded, etc.
4. 2 years, I bought an '08 Ninja at the end of '07, sold it at the end of '09 to pick up my R6
5. Buy one of these http://faculty.washington.edu/kepeter/119/images/hand_exerciser.jpg
6. Not really a tool kit but look into signing up for this. http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/Membership/AMARoadsideAssistance.aspx

Maybe, I should be dead for doing it this way, but when I changed my rear tire, I didn't mess with my adjusters, I knocked the axle out rolled the wheel forward to get the chain off then reversed it. Adjusters never moved so I could only assume that its still aligned.

Was just up in Easton about an hour ago, if I wouldn't of had to kill an hour before anyone got there I would've came out.

for street, get pilot road 2. You'd have to try rrreaally hard to out ride those.
Just put a set of those on my R6. I'd recommend as well.

Damn stole my thunder, I painted my bike this winter as well, and was getting ready to post pictures.
Looks awesome though.

Not too sure about the event handling on this forum, I made a calendar event but thought a thread would be helpful too.
Here's the calendar event: Calendar

StateFarm uses NADA, but they also quoted the ACV of my bike at ~$500 more than I paid for it so I didn't argue.
-
Yeah I found that out, but it doesn't change my premium much to lower it.

In lieu of my recent folly of insurance thread I thought I'd post something after searching. Saturday the 18th in Xenia at Kilcare there is a large track event called Street Life Tour. It's focused mostly on cars with a major drifting and drag section but there are stunt bikes as well. Me and group of friends, mostly cars, from Lancaster will be cruising down. Was wondering if anyone from OR planned to attend.
-
Been curious about what others pay for their insurance based on company/age/bike. I'll go first.
Company:State Farm
Coverage:$100k/person and $300k/accident same for uninsured.
Deductible:$500/comprehensive and $500/collision
Age:23
Premium:$757.82/yr

Loud pipes especially some are obnoxious, just today I went the gas station with a buddy before playing some disc golf, some one was riding by and we had to stop our conversation and wait for him to get a block away before resuming it cause his bike was too loud to be heard over, if I can get pulled over for having my head phones in cause I cant hear an emergency vehicle, then mr loud pipes should get a ticket for himself not being able to hear and all the driver on the surrounding block too.
As far as helmet go, would helmet laws save lives? Sure. Do I pay $200-1000 for my car to come with seat belts? No.
Personally I think it'd be nice to see a bike/helmet combo packages. If I buy a helmet and Bike at a dealership, take the price of the helmet off or a percentage of it if its too expensive. Sure, some people would take the helmet and trash it or sell it, but even for the 1 in 10 riders that think, wow I got a free helmet, might as well wear it, it would be worth it.
Basically I feel that it comes down to theres no way to reward/punish helmet wearers or none helmet wearers, so the only people to ride with one are the ones with common sense.

Scorpion Exo-400. I'm looking for something that's lighter, but still as comfortable as this one. Fully removable pads is a must, too.
If you're happy with your EXO-400 and dont want to spend the money to move up to an Arai or Shoei then the EXO-700 might be a good bet, its fiberglass instead of poly so its a bit lighter, I never have trouble with the weight of my helmet and I'm extremely happy I bought it as a first.
