Last year the ARC wasn't offered right away. We had to keep checking back on the website. It was worth the wait and the $50 cost of admission. I will definitely take it again. I have been talking to my brother and dad about also taking the ARC.

Ive read some of the ARC and it sounds great.  If I ever get to the point where I feel like Im an, "experienced" rider and am an expert on a bike, Id certainly take the ARC.

I feel like you can always learn something new and with all the idiot drivers we have here in Ohio, you can never be so good on a bike that your skills are complete.

Is it common for it to be difficult to find an ARC to enroll in?

The only ARC courses posted last year were at the Butler Technology

& Career Development Schools in Hamilton, Ohio.

A posting from last year reads:

I sent an email to the email address on the website. They currently

are not planning on having an Advanced Rider Course in Columbus

unless there is enough interest.

Somehow the ARC was finally posted for Columbus, much later in

the season.  I'm thinking in August, possibly, and only after someone

called them.  I can't find any details from last year, to show you.

We'll have to express an interest earlier this year so we can get

them to offer us an ARC class.

So far, the interested posters are:

It looks to me like we have a class right there.

After sign-ups open, we'll know more.  If a

class has to be scheduled for us, we should

make sure it's far enough in advance for

everyone to be able to make arrangements

to attend without any problems.  I think six

weeks notice should be enough.

Anyone else interested in the Advanced Rider's

Course?  I know there are more of you out there.

Last year, I ended up sending an email and talking to a guy from Columbus State that was tied into ODPS Motorcycle Ohio. Sometime later, they ended up setting up an ARC class for May or June. I dont have my old smart phone, so I don't recall the exact dates. I just remember it was just before a motorcycle trip to NC in late June. There are almost enough people interested to fill a class.

i'm trying to find out if i can take the arc up here.  i would actually love to teach it, but i dont think anyone will respect me on the grom or zuma.

An advanced riding course for scooter riders would be hilarious fun. I'd totally show up on my Vino 125. But I'd also be secretly wishing I had your Grom.

We'll know Friday morning at 8:00 AM what is being offered

as long as they post everything in a timely fashion.  If an

ARC course is offered before the Gap trip, I'm sure some of

our guys will sign up for it.

Knowing about how many are interested after that will give

me something to present as a reason for an additional

class.  I'll find out what is the minimum number of riders they

want before they will post a class and we'll beg and threaten

the rest of OR until we have enough.  :D

Nothing personal, but that's too late into the season to take the course for me...  I want it early so I can practice new ideas thru the season.

I'm signed up for May 20 & 24.  Hope it doesn't rain.
