bark615
The AMB transponder comes is 3 versions, are there any real difference between them? Kart - Yellow Bike - RedMX - Orange I have rented the yellow kart ones at CRP during the OMRL rounds, I see some racers that bring their own red ones. Would there be any problem running the orange MX one at a kart or bike track? Thanks,Jim
RHill
Don't quote me on this but I believe it has something to do with the response time or something like that. The red ones supposedly is more reliable at higher speeds, where if you take an orange one across the line at 160 it is likely to miss. No first hand experience with it, just what I read when I was looking at buying one. Makes absolutely no sense to me....but AMB has the timing market cornered, so they do whatever they can to screw people out of money. Why make a universal one that works for nearly all racing when you can make proprietary ones and charge people 3 times?
turnone
I heard the same thing, but using that logic the red one should work on the fast stuff and the slower stuff.
