2talltim
I too was trying to find the spectacularism here. Not bashing anything but what am I missing? Edited March 3, 2014 by 2talltim
magley64
400+ ponies is nothing to sneeze at, in fact that's on par with a brand new Mustang GT, at a fraction of the weight, this harley will get it in the straights if you can keep the back tire from liquefying in the process. Gixxus Christ!
I am highly skeptical this bike makes even 200 hp. With an outrageous claim like 400 hp you'd think they would include the dyno slip in the video like oh idk....EVERY OTHER DYNO VIDEO. Slips or it didn't happen.
2talltim
I watched it in tapatalk so I didn't seen any titles or video descriptions

2talltim
wonder how many pulls like that it can possibly take with out grenading the engine.

Connie14
What would that equate to in the quarter mile? Top end? It can't run for very long with nitrous and turbo, unless they water cool the motor. It would create too much heat.
HeavyDuty
The motor has had 20 sprays so far. I do not know what year the bike is but a lot of the new 2014 Harleys with 103ci and bigger are now water cooled
redkow97
404 is impressive on the dyno. I'd like to see it be impressive at the strip.
Steve Butters
Agree with redkow97... Power doesn't mean much if you can't put it down... Any videos of it on the track?
J_T
Thats impressive numbers Rick, for a farm implement with a pushrod motor !

rawlins87
You can manipulate the dyno to show higher numbers than what it actually makes. I'm doubting a Harley even with turbo and nos is making 400wheel
rawlins87
Brian's dyno'd lower hp bikes than what this guy is claiming and had traction problems and wheel spin on the dyno but this guy can throw one let over and it's all good
magley64
That's what i was saying, at 400+ horsepower and 300+ torque how do you keep a Mc tire from liquefying against your dyno drum?
magley64
I've watched it a couple times... Where is the nitrous? Is it dry or wet? I can't hear a turbo...
redkow97
The noise was real, Pauly. And you can't take that away from him.

redkow97
Let's assume for just a minute that the 404hp figure is real. Take that for granted. Like I said in my first post, it's an impressive number, but the number doesn't mean anything unless you're having a dyno competition, or comparing it directly to another bike that is the same make and model (i.e. same weight, gearing, and other handling characteristics). Look at a car like the Aerial Atom. "low" horsepower, but HUGE performance. It embarrasses cars with twice or three times the horsepower. I imagine a 400hp cruiser (regardless of manufacturer) can probably easily be out-performed by a stock FZ6, or other comparable bike with less power, but also less weight. The cruiser will have a torque advantage, but I bet it still takes 11+ seconds to make a quarter mile pass. I really try not to bash cruisers, but I do think it's silly to try to turn them into something they're not. If you want to cruise, cruise! Why try to turn a Winnebago into a dragster? If it actually is what it's claimed to be, it's not a harley any more than a Boss Hoss is a harley. Build claims aftermarket (S&S) engine not a harley, and aftermarket transmission. it's also allegedly chain drive... So interesting (if true) but not a harley.
