Ride to Fight Human Trafficking!

First Annual Woman's Life Chapter 800 C.L.A.S.S. Charity Ride


The ride starts at The Heritage Lounge, 2087 Baltimore Reynoldsburg Road in Reynoldsburg. Registration begins at 10:00 am and the first bike goes out at 12:00 pm. The ride fee is $15.00 for the rider and $5.00 for a passenger. Proceeds will benefit the Central Ohio Rescue and Restore Coalition. Woman's Life Insurance Society will match the first $500 raised. The ride ends with door prizes, 50/50 drawing, band, food and more. Donations are welcome. I don't know anything about this particular organization, but the cause is a good one.  I had no idea that human trafficking wasn't just done by poor asian, european and african nations, but that it's done right here in the good ol' US of A.  I went to a TEDxColumbus where a woman spoke about being held as a sex slave for years until she found a way out.  She was just a suburban kid you wouldn't think differently about anyone else.  It started simply and would probably freak out the dads here how easy a young woman can get pulled in.

 

I can't ride this weekend but good luck and kudos to those who participate.  Major respect.
