cmh_sprint
I saw this earlier today and was blown away. Looking forward to what they do on the next 4 nights on Letterman, the new album, the show on HBO and hopefully a tour.

redkow97
Dave Grohl voice was meh. The rest was epic!I'm a big fan, but I tend to agree. It's not often Dave Grohl is the weakness in a performance.

zx3vfr
Dave Grohl voice was meh. The rest was epic!I'll just leave this here as the only possible explanation
redkow97
I'll just leave this here as the only possible explanation Dave Grohl was a guitar player and singer before he ever joined Nirvana, and he did all the backing vocals for Nirvana. Nirvana had two drummers before Dave Grohl. Chad Channing, and a second guy who quit in the middle of recording "Bleach." His name's on the album for certain songs. But regardless, Dave Grohl is a guitar player who picked up drums, not the other way around. The original Foo Fighters album is awesome when you consider that it's 100% Dave Grohl in a studio, dubbing the tracks over each other without a backup band. Tigerpaw
I normally like his singing. That song was not his best.
redkow97
He went with Zac Brown's range.
redkow97
As an aside, Taylor Hawkins is a beast on the drums. He hits the skins so damn hard, you can hear how low the mics are to compensate for it.
GixxerTravis
That was so badass...
Moto-Brian
I think Grohl did fine. You gotta realize that the mixture of voice styles is dramatic. I think had Grohl been the only singer, it may have been different. RK hit it on the head with going with Brown's range... I think it rocked. And yes, Hawkins is a beast. There is so much win in that piece.
