That's why I keep my phone on me, instead of inside my bike. If I'm hurt, I can't get to my bike, but I can pull my phone out of my jacket and call 911.

That is a fear of mine though to wreck in the middle of nowhere and I'm not visible to anyone and I get found a few months later rotting.

I never really thought about it but that is a good point with the phone. Although in this case it doesn't seem like it would have mattered where his phone was. Sounded like he was pretty out of it.
