Gump
So after he shipped the head to whoever did he get it back?
M_Quick
Thx guy's! tlc needed is a good cleaning, oil change, lube all critical points. It was some stripped and missing bolts. The head pipe to muffler spring was missing, but I found it near the battery! While under the seat noticed the small throttle body cover is gone. Spark plug boot is taped up, so probably torn. Chain was loose, I'm sure I will find others things. I want to upgrade the factory suspension. But really a solid low hour quad.As far as the head returning, well yeah it came back prettier than ever. Read the mods in 1st post. Quad has easy 2500 put into it in mods. max power
$2500 in mods and taped up wires?
M_Quick
$2500 in mods and taped up wires? spark plug boot was taped. Engine and other mods have nothing to do with wires or tape.

max power
I just meant that someone spent all this money on mods and didn't repair the cheap stuff correctly.
Gump
So how does it run? I don't believe you've mentioned that? Unless I missed it.
M_Quick
I just meant that someone spent all this money on mods and didn't repair the cheap stuff correctly. Yeah, and it looks as if they didn't have a metric set of allen wrenches. Because every cap screw on the body plastic is striped. I personally have had my plastic off countless times, and all mine are fine. So how does it run? I don't believe you've mentioned that? Unless I missed it. Have yet to get it out on the trails. I did get the title notarized today, still need to go to licence agency to transfer it and then get a plate. I'm hoping to have it done this week, and bring it to Wayne Saturday. I test road it when I bought it, in ASK parking lot. You could barley get into 3rd gear, so that's no count. I road it around the hood here on Fathers day a bit, still 3rd gear only. It seams pretty strong, I will know more when I hit the trails with my GPS. Also quad came with a quite core spark arrestor screen, brand new in sealed package. I put it in, but I don't like the sound difference, so I order'd the plain screen. Plus you have to change the mapping on the Fuel Controller for the quite core. M_Quick
Changed the oil and filter Tuesday. Installed the spark arrestor screen yesterday, along with the throttle body cover, that I ordered of eBay. Today I installed the 2 piece factory skid plates, that I also ordered of eBay. And adjusted the front preload, to fix the rider sag. I also have a Alba anti-vibe clamp, waiting on the 1 1/8" pro taper Pastrana bars. In the mean time I will save some cash for nerfs and a-arm guards. I will probably stick with the Honda nerfs, but will try the PRM a-arm guards this time. The DG add Factory Honda front a-arm guards suck.

M_Quick
Looks good man! you planning to keep both of them?As of now yeah, unless I stumble into a decent 4x4 for trade. Silly to have 2 quads, that I'm the only one in the household can ride. I just couldn't pass up the deal, and was tired of seeing no one else buy it, lol. So a transaction that actually went smooth is a change for me. And thanks for offer, but no it will take a few more dollars than that to get it out of my garage. M_Quick
Pro Taper Contour 1 1/8" Pastrana bars installed on the Alba Anti-vibe clamp. I also used the Torc1 Racing Hole Shot Full Waffle grips. If the grips dont work out I may try the high dollar Odi lock ons. There was nothing wrong with the oem bar's, I just wanted 1 1/8: plus I was never wild about the look of the factory bars.
M_Quick
Honda Racing Nerf's Well I held them for almost a week, waiting on powder coat pricing. And decided to just put them on. I think they would of looked better black, but I'm not paying $200 to have them coated.
Steve Butters
It's a quad... Who cares how pretty they are? Black enamle spray paint will do the job for $
M_Quick
Not really the black paint would start coming off after 1st ride or so, and look pitifully. So although I think black would look better, I don't favor black peeling paint over chrome. The chrome matches the wheels and exhaust heat shield anyways? And like you said who cares, lol. Steve Butters
Gotcha didn't realize it was chrome, thought it was brushed stainless
