I've never been there but I've heard good things about The Smokehouse Brewing Co. , I think it's towards the west side, but still inside 270.

This place is pretty good for beer. Food is ok, but nothing really to write home about. I find it's really hit of miss. It's actually in Grandview Heights on US 33/Dublin Rd. The only problem I've ever really had is the service is kind of shitty.

Good enough for me. I will make a thread this weekend.

Smokehouse's food isn't 5-star but it's not bad and they do their own in-house beers and such. There's also Columbus Brewing Company (restaurant, closer to downtown), Matt The Millers (Dublin), Hofbrau, and uh...

yeah.

We did a MTM meet last fall and, as you know, only had 7 or 8 show up.  But, that place is pricey.  It was a nice venue to have quiet and comfy conversation though - which is enticing.  I just hate yelling at the person sitting next to me because of uncivilized drunken fools at the bar feel they have to make a lot of racket

I do like to try new crafty brews though, so that's high on my list along with decent food offerings at exceptionally affordable rates :D

There are a few places at Barley's that are good for a larger group of 10+, including a patio outside if the weather is nice.

Food is typical burger-house fare... ribs, wings, all that kinda stuff. Also sour kraut balls and dip.

El Vaquero - A Mexican place on 33 and Trabue.

Old Bag of Nails - Heard of this place but never been.

CBC or Smokehouse are the only ones I know about that brew their own stuff in-house, at least on the west side.

Bag of Nails is way to small to accommodate any type of group over 6.
Awesome food and drink though. All you can eat fish, all the time. It is a bit pricey.
