Oh, those white cylinder heads.  His idea.  I'm having fun telling his buddies they're "Refrigidare Racing Heads".  They do have the big valves with some mild polishing of the exhaust ports and some careful shaping of the intakes.

I think ford had the jump with big valves in there small blocks. Had a buddy with a 71 351 Cleveland that had some monster factory valves. Made chevys 2.02 valves look like they belong in a 5 h.p briggs motor.

I may have watched Barret-Jackson one too many times, but if you get some blue over-spray on those white valve covers, people will think it's original :p

That's a nice S10, which isn't something you'll hear me say very often.  It's almost TOO nice.  I would like it as much or better if it looked like every other S10 on the road, but then had the LS under the hood to surprise people :-D

It's very much different than most S10s.

is the S10 complete, or still waiting on the engine to drop in?

What kind of power will it make?  any performance goals?

The truck is waiting for engine and transmission. It was all together with a stock 5.3 LS and burnt up the stock transmission. Now fully built transmission and motor with cam & heads, stud kit and new bearings. Truck runs full factory fuel injection with braided lines front to back for fuel. Going to be running a Flex fuel pump good for 650hp. Transmission cooler mounted underside of the bed with braided hoses. Custom wiring harness and tune from Current Performance. All factory gauges work with no lights on dash and has A/C. I am hoping to be somewhere close to 500 to the wheels. I got this truck when I was 15, bone stock. It has came a long way, First time we painted it, i was hit on 339 head on and totaled it. I replaced the frame and went through all the salvage title stuff just to keep it. Stock 4.3 let go at 215,000 miles, I've been doing the LS swap stuff for 2 1/2 years now, but it becomes back burner to motorcycles.

And yes, everything is a tight fit.

Here is the heads for my motor. 706 heads with a severe port and polish, decked .030 to bump compression, and double springs with titanium hardware.

Just for the fun being you posted pictures of your heads.  When I had my motor apart last summer I did basically the same thing you did.  I also tossed in new valve guides also as mine were on the very edge of the limits and didn't feel like going through all the work again any time soon.

I have an MG Midget being built for SCCA and road course. It's getting a 4g63T in it this winter. Under 2k lbs and somewhere in the 300hp range. Something mild.

My last car was a 99 Prelude SH I built for Road course.

Building speed is expensive. Building a slow car to drive fast is less expensive.

I have been plugging away at my project car for the past several years now.

Bought in 88 while in the army in Ft. Lee Virgina, daily driver for years and then parked in the barn around 93.

As of now, interior is done, front suspension rebuilt, trans rebuilt, painted. Just bought a set of craigslist rims & tires.

Engine is functional, but needs some love (carb rebuild, vacuum lines, plugs & wires).

I am waiting for paint to fully cure before putting badges back on, I kind of like the clean badge free look though....

Man. The LS s10 just brought back memories of my project of my teenage years. I  Had a 92' reg cab short bed s10. 4 cyl 5 speed. Destroyed two transmissions in 3 years( I thought i was ricky bobby). Long story short, I scrounged together the parts to do a 305( yes,I know) with a th350. Learned so much about building, cars and life during that project. Good stuff.

I mentioned a jeep a few pages back and did end up pulling the trigger on one. Found a clean 03. 4.0 5 speed. A/C. engine wasn't very strong, but its clean. Its currently at the engine builder as I type this.

I swapped out the hardtop for a soft top, BFG radial at k02s, dirtworx bumpers, rancho rs5000x shocks. Going to add a winch and pretty much call it done. Its been great fun for the family.

What kind of Bedliner did you use?

i did my hood with tooldip and wasn't very happy with how it laid out.

Put on new tires and blacked out the steelies, painted the bed and wood sides

I always thought an old farm truck with a flat bed like that, and a nice healthy small block with a manual trans would be fun!

Well I spoke too soon I think. It's cheap for a reason but still not cheap enough for the ridiculous case of cancer it has underneath.

Holy cow. But not unheard of here in the rust belt.
