Noticed a slight error in the copy correspondence - it is HB 548 (rather than SB 548).  The pols should be smart enough to figure it out?

When it's in the House it's HB, as soon as it moves to the Senate it changes to SB.

We are in trouble, we are stalled getting to the Senate floor. There are about a 1000 bills trying to get there and only two sessions left. The only thing that will save us is if we call and make sure they understand this bill is important to get to the floor.

You need to make a phone call. Right meow.

Call President Obhof’s (614) 466-7505.  He is the Senate President and is the final word on what gets to the floor. Tell him this is an issue that needs to be voted on. I have it on good authority these phone calls help, they put check boxes next to the bills that people are talking about.

There are only two sessions left, it's now or never.

Just a point of awareness, see the attachment for what HB 548 looks like now "As Reported by the Senate Transportation, Commerce and Workforce Committee."  Some additions to the bill besides the motorcycle hearing protection provision.

" . . . amend sections 4511.84, 4513.34, and 5577.15 of the Revised Code to permit a person to wear earphones or earplugs for hearing protection while operating a motorcycle, to alter the requirements governing special regional heavy hauling permits, and to provide an exception to the vehicle size and weight limits to a person who is traveling to the site of an emergency to tow a vehicle or who is returning from the place where the vehicle was towed."

Fuck yeah, we did it again. We are on the agenda for the 27th in the Rules Committee. They are who officially sends it the the floor. There is a session scheduled for the the full Senate on the 29th.

We are lucky as hell there are some veto overrides they want to do. Without that there wouldn't be any more sessions after Xmas.

I know the story behind this. Currently if you are an over weight truck you have to pull a permit to use a freeway. Not long ago there was a dude trapped in a semi and they needed an overweight wrecker to lift it off him. State Police and the wrecker company said to hell with your law we are gonna do it anyway. They saved his life, there is no debate on that.

This addition isn't controversial at all, it won't hold us up. House will vote to accept the change.

Skimlinks is a thing that’s supposed to let us earn commission on stuff like this. Doesn’t work very well. I think we made like $0.37 last month. 😂

So if i was already looking at stuff on amazon, posted the link here, then bought it from the link would you get the commission?
