Strictly Street
Interesting idea... It looks hard to corner with, understeer? Wonder how well it would do on a bumpy road?
Pauly
Yes. Let's create more gyroscopic forces to overcome. Facepalm. Edited November 8, 2017 by Pauly Android can't spell.
Tpoppa
It looks heavier, longer, and taller. I'm not seeing how it would be better. I've never been riding and said to myself...damn if I just had another wheel. 1
redkow97
It would theoretically increase cornering grip by having a larger contact patch, but the additional weight probably offsets most of the benefit... there MIGHT be some merit to the idea in a no-budget Moto GP type atmosphere, but for standard street bikes, my bet is that you accomplish much greater performance gain by simply reducing the weight of the bike, and more importantly, reducing the mass of the wheels themselves. Both can already be done on any existing motorcycle design just by using more expensive materials.
Pauly
No merit. It's a dumb idea.
tall_tracy
Can you do wheelies on it?? Would an extended swing arm be better or worse on something like this?? The possibility of losing your foot from hitting that center wheel seems pretty dangerous...
JustinNck1
Imagine the tire threads for it. Do you run a car tire on the rear or the middle?

Yes. It's also excellent for saving weight.

How would you ever speed up again? the rear wheel isn't driven. Have you thought this design through?

That thing will not turn in a parking lot unless one of those two rear wheels is off the ground. They are inline and don't turn. Yes, I missed which was a drive wheel. You still got that bike around? Weld another wheel on the back.

Wolfman1
So how do you adjust the front suspension? No shocks on the front or a fork, just a torsion bar of some kind. This thing doesn't really accomplish anything, looks way harder to control not to mention added tire costs. The bike of the future will still be two wheeled, but will be fueled with stale beer and banana peels and produce 1000 gigawatts of power! Tpoppa
I don't think the 40 inch seat height will be very popular with non-NBA players.

Goodyear fucked them over and didn't design a proper tire for it.
