Some of you saw it out last night, but for those who didn't...

They're 17x9.5" Enkei, though not sure what style rim. Anyone have any idea?

I think they look nice, and much better in person when it's sunnier out.

I'd love to lower the car but think that's driving against whatever traction I get at the track now. I like to handle, but not at the extreme cost of having no traction whatsoever.

Double-edged sword syndrome.

Ryan, I think these rims would be worse than what you think now:

Chris, less suspension travel in the rear I believe lessens the amount of unsprung inertial energy stored that helps assist in planting the rear wheels.

Thanks Amy, you saw them in person last night ;)

Dan, those are Enkei Win rims after doing some research. They were only offered for the 4th gen F-Bodies through RK Sport starting in late '98 for $335/ea. I guess that's why I'd not seen them before.

Ant, I don't think lowering the car will adversely effect traction enough for you to notice. It's not like you're launching 1.2x 60's.

Stop using that excuse and buy a set of springs. tongue.gif

Anthony,

Here is what my suggestion is, lower the car with pro-kit, and keep the rear springs from the stock suspension handy. When you go to the track, change the lower springs for the normal height. Since those rears just slip in and out, should take like ten to fifteen minutes, plus you'll have to take the wheels off anyway to put the DRs on. I am going to try it at Norwalk and see how it works.
