I've came close before at a stop. I've had quite a few times where I put my foot down and it slips on gravel, sand, tar, etc.

My old 1/2 ton CB750 four K had an unusually short kickstand, i stopped at the end of the driveway one time, thought i put the kickstand down, dropped her in neutral, leaned it over, more more more, realized the kickstand was up, tried to pick it back up, and somehow launched myself off the bike into the yard, as the bike idled on it's side....

Yeah so at school I was running late for class and was riding the bike. So I got it shut off pulled the key out hopped off and was heading for the door....I forgot the kickstand. I turned looked picked it up placed the kickstand and went to class...This was in 2006 in PHX.

I was taking my endorsment test and the dude that went before me had just completed his last section of the test. He was told to stop at the instructor to get his paper. He stopped but neglected to put his feet down. Yeah he failed. I can only imagine how that dude felt.

I was pulling out of a friends driveway and somehow hit the corner, which was quite muddy.....she slipped right down, luckily I let her down easy and it was in the grass so she didn't even get scratched.
