whats the story?

He went careening into a guardrail a few hundred yards in front of me. There was a verible explosion of dust and metal, with a lot of sparks. I then actually had to speed up to outrun his bike, which was twirling and bouncing around toward me and coming fast. Linn had to slam on the brakes and swerve to avoid hitting the bike and him. He popped up quick, we got the bike and the other stuff out of the road. It's surprising that more chaos didn't break out, given that we were on a fairly blind curve on 670 - there could have been multiple rear-endings and so forth in the aftermath of the accident. He was relatively unhurt, minus the hole in his hand.

i want to get a bike, but after seeing stories like this and my luck with cars, and in general, sucks. so i dont think it'd be the best idea.

graemlins/wtf.gif How is that even possible?

I could see the fluid maybe causing the bike to lowside if the tire is soaked in fluid but LOCKUP??????

If the fluid is gone, there is no pressure and it is mechanically impossible on a bike. Unless it was only one side and the panic caused him to grab the brake and only one side was pressurized......hmmmm?????

Very odd..... graemlins/popcorn.gif

Actually after some talk with a few different people I am beginning to wonder if my tire floated which would have caused every thing else after to happen. I would go into further detail but I am way baked on meds right now.
