Putty
No, but you DON'T want a Katana.
nurkvinny
A 600 Katana was my first bike. It ran perfect for over 2 years, needing only a new rear tire. They're fast enough to be fun, cheap on insurance, and a good bang for the buck.

dragknee66
hmm... while a good newbie bike.. youde be better off on a 600cc sportbike to start with. Youll grow tired of the can-o-tuna pretty quickly.. It has old school technology too
KennyFKINPowerz
Just say no to KATANA.
Guest xxxyyyzzz
One of my coworkers just bought an FZR600R there. Sounds like he was treated fairly and the bike didn't have any hidden issues. As for the people saying don't get a Katana, well, I'm not fond of them but I ride a 30+ year old CB350, so what do I know? Plenty of people have had good experiences with them and they're decent first bikes from what I hear, so if you want one get it and ignore the people telling you what you should have bought. What matters is that you get a bike. Any bike.
Guest xxxyyyzzz
Just to clarify: My "I'm not fond of them" comment was directed toward Katanas, not people that say not to get one.
