Math 104. The teach' does alot of stuff specific to this range of calculators. That program would probably be cheating.

I just bought one for my math class on Amazon it was used but it was only $7.95 plus $4.95 for shipping.

im trying to think about the cheapest place... it doesnt fluctuate much though. i think office depot or something is the cheapest (if they have those in ohio) i just got the ti-84 plus, so have an old ti-83 laying around somewhere. if you want it, i can probably get it for you in a week and a half.

Illegal Or rather, expressly forbidden, they do "too much", I've got to actualy learn something apparently.

I used a TI-89 all through school, and probably didnt use half the features. It is ridiculous.

 

Hop on that TI-85, thats a steal, and you wont outgrow it.

If you are going to invest in anything get the TI-89. It is forbidden in the earlier courses because they have to weed out people that can't do math.

 

once you get higher up they don't care what you use, they screw you by saying you have to show the work. the TI-89 is a good way to check yourself.

I've had my TI-92 for years (I got it before it was released to the general public). It's a monster, but the keyboard is nice.

If you got a pocket PC or a Palm, I know there's an install you can put on it to simulate a graphic calc .

one of the major chains (comp usa, staples) had one for 80$ brand new (usually 100) in the ads of the sunday paper...check that out if you still have the paper
