what kinda of clear coat sealant do i use for wood?

painted a cornhole set up...and i'm just wondering what to seal it with or coat it with. a friend of mine used Polyurethane and his board is starting to look yellow...any ideas?

There is that epoxy that you apply with a squeegee. Let me see if I can find a link. It is what you see on the table at hooters and many bars. But keep in mind that the finish will be so slick you will NEVER get it in unless you toss a ringer. The boards everyone in my family has are gloss latex paint.
