El Karacho1647545492
That's retarded, that generic of a statement DOES NOT go with buying a car. No but its a reasonable assumption. In general, you'll have fewer problems with a newer, lower mileage car than an older, high mileage car. Its an ok generalization, but doing your research (especially when buying something like a car) is always better.
Crossle
It is a reasonable assumption after you look at the TSB's on the car you are buying. I would for sure w/o a doubt go for the civic. Never buy old german cars if you are broke and you want a daily driver. The Germans are very proud of their parts!
Patrick
Civic. Do it. I had an accord and I miss it. Cheap to fix, cost nothing to fill up and went for 400 miles.
surefooted
That's retarded, that generic of a statement DOES NOT go with buying a car. It does when you are in the OP's position. Not for every situation, but this one, yes.
Radio Flyer1647545514
Well the cars have almost exactly the same amount of miles on them. Well Motor wise, 20k dif. Car itself, 45k dif. I heard Beamers last quite sometime if well taken care of, and I have some ok pockets. Not rich, but not poor.
Radio Flyer1647545514
Basically, do Beamers break every fucking day? I used to have a DSM, which is more tone to having problems? A beamer, or DSM, cause the DSM I could have money for anytime something went wrong with it.
Bam
No they don't, I've been running my beemer everyday and haven't had a problem. But it is a general assumption that foreign cars, like the bmw, are more expensive to fix WHEN something breaks, not that they are less reliable. The older bmw's are built like tanks, but Im not sure that I'd pay $4k for that bmw convertible unless its MINTY, as that's what they can be found for in very very nice condition. Radio Flyer1647545514
Well, paint has a scratch that I saw, interior is nice, the leather is not torn up, the top has already been replaced, and the place that has fixed any problem they found with it. So a 20 year old car with 105 k on the odometer, I would say nice.

Radio Flyer1647545514
I'm getting a lot of get the civic. Basically then, my final question is, how often do BMW's break down on you? If it is very rare, put it is expensive to fix, no problem. Will the car last, is what I want to know?
Bam
just buy the civic, if you can't read your own thread, just buy the civic. I know the guy and have helped him on the car before, he's cool and the car's nice/worth the money.
