turbomark
talon's don't catch fire, conquests are not 4g63 powered... although both of those situations can become true.
Farley
i dont think the conquest had a 4g63 in it... i know they made it to compete with the mkIII supra turbos... but i highly doubt it had a 4g63 in it. ... i found this..... Size: 2.6 L Engine Type: L4 Fuel Type: Gasoline Fuel Delivery: Fuel Injection VIN Code: H, G, D, 7 Aspiration: Turbo so it was a 2.6 turbo? turbomark
Yeah it was a turbo 2.6... and possibly the most fucked up head/intake design on the planet. It's injection system is very similar to gm's tpi system only with more restrictions. And once the air gets to the head it doesn't get much better... the intake ports are quite literally L shaped. A two year old could probably design a more efficient setup.
iwishiwascool
but they catch fire. Are you serious?
1Quik7
the conquest/starion can be made into a bad ass car.
Crossle
Ahh don't ruin another car that has not been on the fast and the furious!!!! Neat car, there is a starion on craigslist for 3K and it has 65K miles. http://columbus.craigslist.org/car/376827435.html

darksrt4
i had a conquest once aww yes... i paid 1000 bucks for it... I beat the living shit out of it for about 10 months. I had the funnest time drifting in the snow and rain. It was an nightmare when it came to wiring. But my drive shaft broke out the back of the trans. I took it to you wrench it got 110 bucks for it. All the fun i had in it. it was worth it but not a car i would own for a good daliy driver.
Jelloman4571647545499
2.6l early design truck engine. Also there was vid out a while ago with a LS1 in one and a vr4/rt tt 3.0 in one. Looked neat
Patrick
4G63 was in Japan my bad, we had the G54B.
vitamincj
Ouch. Just swap in an LSx if you want to go fast in a straight line. It's true that the engine blows for big power The car just wasn't made for going fast in a straight line with the factory powerplant. I think the suspension is set up OK for the twisties though. Miller
I would get one and 4g63 it with everything under the sun done to the motor itself, and then throw a 16g with lots of boost at it I really do like the conquests.
Guest GMoney
why would a LSX motor only be good for a straight line? I bet any LSX motor weighs less than the POS 2.6 cast iron boat anchor that came in the car. you would also eliminate a turbo and all related parts. 6 Speed S4
hmmm didn't know that, now I like them a lot more lol
Dr. Apex
Just find a good chassis as people mentioned the engines were not that great in them. Swap in a 4G63 or an LS1 like mentioned, you don't see enough of those cars on the road anymore.
Crossle
A guy picks his kids up from school everyday in front of my house in one during the school year. Its that really rich blue color.
6 Speed S4
I was at pick n pull today and found for sale an 89 Conquest TSI 5 speed for 999. Paint was rough, interior was fair but hell I'd consider buying it.
