Gergwheel1647545492
I just drove from Gahanna to delaware and I was able to go 5 over the limit the whole way until delaware, and it only took me about 30 minutes. They are actually doing a good job of keeping the roads clean through this storm.
evan9381
ive found that the local townships do a great job of keeping the roads cleared, but freeways are hit or miss. i lived in gahanna my whole life and never had issues with the roads
Trjackson
Marion county was far better than Marion city. I was shocked. It does seem as though this year is much better than last year. Jackson
Patrick
I hear Delaware off 42 was terrible tonight- I'll see how High is once I get going home.

Draco-REX
Now if only they would STOP WITH THE SALT! Sheesh.. There's more salt than asphalt on the roads. When the roads dry, cars will kick up salt dust into the air! They should cut it with sand. The winters here are much like Cape Cod, and there's no salt use on Cape Cod. It just sucks to see the salt crust all over and under my cars after driving on these roads. I had planned to DD the STI all winter, but after seeing what just 2 winter months of ODOT roads did to the undercarriage, it's sitting in my garage until it warms up. TTQ B4U
Our community just hired a local fellow to plow and salt our side streets  Fairly cost effective and 200% better than any other roads around.

I was thinking about this for our area aswell. We live on a culdesac so the only time our street ever gets plowed is when the sun shines and melts the snow away. It sucks. Kevin R.
I can't recall from recent memory a more brutal February from a weather standpoint. Ah, remember February '76? Twas' a rough one. Barely a can of beans and bread to go around. Of course, I gave my own share for the benefit of the family. Water was hard to come by...all frozen. Difficult walk to work through the woods and fields and pastures, but someone had to do it. Was a rough time indeed.

Shame it did not take off as expected.
Dr. Apex
Franklin county sucked, as soon as I hit Fairfield county the side roads were much better. I agree that this 1" of snow, then 1" of ice, then rain in every which order every couple days is getting tiresome.
TTQ B4U
I sure do....just back in 2003 actually. We had our basement finished and my garage was full of the basement stuff and thus one car sat outside Took them 15 business days to finish it and it snowed every damn day it seemed. Our side street was so bad my wife's Alero sat outside as the aero kit was too low and she couldn't make it down the street without f'ing it up. It was the only year my Trailblazer saw snow as 01 and 02 were pretty warm. 87GT
There is a turn around POS island in the middle of the street by my house. Because of this they never plow my road. And I live in columbus I don't live in the outskirts of anything.
81mercury
bwahaha i love snow, in maryland it only usually snowed enough to matter once or twice a year....in 96 maryland broke there snow fall record...we got a little over 37 inches. i walked across the hood of my neighbors chevette..was a great time, then i moved to ohio and expected alot of snow and it barely ever fucking snows!!!!!!!!
Dr. Apex
I remember Feburary 03'. I was stuck on the Penna Turnpike for 10hrs in the Presidents Day snow storm, they already had 10in on the ground over there and 2 feet fell in about 12hrs!! One of the handful of times they ever shutdown the Penna!!
Draco-REX
pussy November 2007: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2196/1831476138_be4f610952.jpg January 2008: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2205/2200446643_bf185cb1f1.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2065/2200451733_7d0ea8fc1a.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2176/2201246196_ca4e556f94.jpg I figured I could get through the winters if the roads were like they are in MA. But this much crud and corrosion in just 2 months is unreal. I'm surprised the WRX still is in one piece after 5 winters. As it is, I've been doing work on it and bolts are either fine because they were sealed, or one solid piece with the nut. I want to be buried in my STI, so it has to last. I'm not scared of rain, just salt. The STI will be out and about all spring/summer/fall. The WRX will be doing work miles and RallyX/offroad during that time.
