TTQ B4U
they are based on the new testing vs old which we all knew were way high. however, we all know, especially with folks on CR, that the driver determines MPG's more than anything. I know for sure I can make a prius suck ass in the mpg department My GXP gets the best mpg's when my wife drives it, certainly not me. I think those mpg estimates are a bit low. smokin5s
it's actually fairly close on me... my car's computer says that I'm averaging 27.7 mpg, and it's saying 27.5 but something is messed up on it, because it's saying I get 450 on a tank of gas and right now my car is over 500 on this tank and I have 1/4 left? Nissan says that my car will do 680 if I drive all freeway...(which is most of my driving) kinda weird that they show lower numbers.

nurkvinny
They have the 06 Ram 4x4 Quad w/ Hemi at 13 and 17, with combined at 14. Not even close. I am pulling 21 highway, 18 mixed. I don't think they know mine runs on 4 cylinders half the time.
Tractor
My `94 Corolla's numbers are accurate, but I idle it 2 hours per day (not in traffic) and run the AC 100% of the time so the MPG should probably be higher since I found that I probably waste 2 gallons a day idling. No I don't pay for my gas:-) Evan
Rally Pat
The numbers seemed pretty accurate for the MR2, about 29 mpg. Of course, it gets a lot worse than that when beating the shit out of it, but normal every day driving it does pretty well. One tank usually lasts me about 2 weeks, roughly $25 a tank for a fill of low octane.

Nitrousbird
The new EPA estimate is way low with a 12/15 & 13 combined. Even when lead footing it, mine has never seen that low. And my Avalanche is get's the 2nd worst mileage as a model of all 1500 Avalanches made (03+ get slightly better, mine has all options = heavier + roof rack = more wind drag). Only thing worse is if mine had the 4.10 gears instead of the 3.73's. The 13/18 & 15.6 combined from 4 people entering in is more accurate. That's pretty much what I get...maybe 18.5-19 on the freeway.
Sparky
It is pretty low, it said 20mpg mixed or 22 from "others like me". I get almost 23 mixed and almost 30 freeway...... when it is running that is.
6 Speed S4
Mine was about dead on, 24mpg city+highway in the A4. Thats with fairly spirited driving but not way above speed limits
