Mopar
i say your convertor is too small, or not enough gear. anyway good runs
ruinms
i would have to agree with mopar, but i have always heard with boost you want right around 3-3500 stall depending on the build. what rpm did you leave at, transbrake, and gear ratio?
y2k2gt
I think it is more of a rich condition when on the transbrake. The converter's true stall is about 3000rpm. The gear and tires are the same from last year. I have a meth injection kit now and it is spraying when on the brake. I just have to wire it to the transbrake so it is off while on the brake. ruinms
sounds like a solid setup. i would say perfect for a turbo car.
Mopar
i would have to agree with mopar, but i have always heard with boost you want right around 3-3500 stall depending on the build. if you have a big motor i would agree, but with a smaller cubic inch motor you need more rpm to get it spooling. i would get in touch with a convertor maker id have a 4500+
y2k2gt
The converter is new and it is not the problem. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/y2k2gt/eddie20psi.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/y2k2gt/th_100_2419.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/y2k2gt/th_100_2401.jpg
Flybye
really? not sure what your referring too...but yes and yes to both. definitely needs a higher stall in there and yes they got married at the track right in fronth of the staging lights then we had the whole Pontiac suite rented for the day. Guest GMoney
The converter is new and it is not the problem. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/y2k2gt/eddie20psi.jpg]. Are you looking at the same graph that i am? You need a converter with a higher stall. Your making less than 100HP at 3000 rpms and less than 200wtq. Your stall should be at 4500 so that the motor leaves and stays in the power band.(5000-7000)
Guest GMoney
Get that tune fixed also and it will leave better and spool much faster i estimate about 500 rpms faster if you weren't so rich coming into boost. Your AFR should look like almost an upside down version of your boost map.
rl
Get that tune fixed also and it will leave better and spool much faster i estimate about 500 rpms faster if you weren't so rich coming into boost. Your AFR should look like almost an upside down version of your boost map. Every single time someone posts a dynograph on an internet message board with a AFR someone comments on how the tune is wrong. It never fails.
