Hey Everyone

I just stumbled across this site last weekend on a certain Kawasaki Forum site. So far it looks pretty good. I like how all types and experience levels are here.

About me. I'm 29. Married. No Kids. A Rott. A Jack Russell. I've been Active Duty in the Air Force for 11 years as an airplane mechanic(crew chief). We moved here Feb '08 fro Omaha, Nebraska.

I picked up an 08 Ninja 250 in Mar '08. I love riding. Put 8000 miles on before the snow. I'm extremely interested in learning the mechanics of the bike, and currently have it torn apart to teach myself a few things and knock out a few inspections.

Enough rambling...time to ramble on.:D

...I am in Military housing just off of Colonel Glen(Dayton/Beavercreek)

...the two dogs are like velcro(except the Rott pees on the Jack)

I'll post pics when my photobucket starts working again:mad:

F4 ISVT, I have heard some nice loud bikes, are you near Cobb?

Early summer, I was driving North on 675, took the 48 exit... I was slowing from 50 (with a good lean angle) when I realized they had covered the ramp with pebbles to be resurfaced. I got the bike upright and applied both brakes knowing I wouldn't be able to stop before the huge ditch wothout skidding...so i opted to skid...the bike lowsided and I gracefully dismounted, sliding through the grass relying on my gear to do its job.

In the end I was fine, the bike was flooded so it took approx 20 min to start. I rode home after that.

At first Progressive wanted to total the bike(all cosmetic:mad:). I worked them over, and got enough to replace everyhting to new spec or better and full replacement cost for all my gear(even the helmet that never touched pavement).

So...laying it down is never fun, but I had a decent outcome and no injuries:)
