AudiOn19s
Mike, Does the standard refinish cover curb rash repair? Can you fix rash on my factory M3 19's. they're polished /clear'd faces on them like these? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v453/jedi-knight83/Car%20Stuff/OEM19M3.jpg Andy
Cordell
How much extra would the gloss black powder coat cost if the wheels have flaking chrome and corrosion? I also have a really nice set of factory chromies, do you guys do some kind of transparent color over chrome like this? I obviously just want something custom on a budget, let me know thanks. We can re-machine/clear them, and take care of the curb rash for $90 a wheel (assuming they are not bent). You can see our machine lines a little more than the factory's BUT they look great when they are done.

We can powder over pealing chrome as long as it is not severe for the $65 per wheel. Just know that the adhesion of powder to chrome is not nearly as good as powder to raw aluminum. As for a tinted clear over chrome, we have done it before in gold, but it is very expensive.

SilverAudiMike
Is it worth it to strip/blast the chrome off the wheels first? cost? We will media blast the wheels and sand any bad spots. The chrome that does not come off easily will remain under the powder. It is around $50 a wheel to have them chrome stripped in MA by a company called nu-chrome.
IVRINGS
So this is the famous dog piss rim guy. The girl just bent another one of the custome colored wheels we did up for her. I told her that we are just going to get another set of wheels that are more quality rims if you know what I mean. My question is I have a set of 18" SSR GT3's on my car (see sig if you don't know them, but I'm sure you do) and I wanted to see about powered coated the center and maybe new bolts. So what does it cost to redo a 3 piece set of rims? I might have new outside lips instead of redoing them.

It would be around $145 per wheel to take them apart, refinish the centers, and polish/clear the lips. The bolts are usually stainless and can be media blasted/cleaned up and re-used. Let me know if you want to do them, it takes about a week.
IVRINGS
I will be doing them for sure this winter. Might stop in soon to do the 16's before they go on. Also might see what you guys can order for the girls car while I'm there. Thanks
JaSSon
Is the chrome $600 for all 4 rims? Are 20"s more? How does the black chrome look on a black vehicle. pics? What rims do you have that would fit a TB SS?

What rims do you have that would fit a TB SS? We can do the 20"s for $700 for the set. Black chrome and black vehicles = hot. Stock wheels look best on TB SS in my opinion. If you google "black chrome" there are a few pictures of black cars with black chrome wheels.

ObliqueFD
I'm thinking about having my rims done in gunmetal like the ones below except a little lighter. But I'm also thinking about going with black too. My FD is silver, what do you think would look best? Also, the center caps are plastic, can they be powder coated? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v185/ArchangelX/DSC01880.jpg

Any gunmetal color will be a combination of liquid paint and powdercoat ($90 per wheel). The caps would be liquid painted if they are plastic for $10 per cap. Mike @ Wheel Medic, Inc.
