The Lifting/workout thread

Figured I'd start a lifting/workout thread since it's wintertime and that's something to do when it's cold. I've been hitting the gym constantly since last spring, and I figured that we could see where everyone stands. This could also be a gains/planning/advice thread as well.

We could follow this mold:

-height/weight

-bench weight

-squat weight

-deadlift weight

-other lifts (cleans, dips, etc.)

-any gains that you have made, plans you have, things you want to do, supplements taken, etc.

List the reps that you do at the weights you list as well. Pics can be posted as well.

I'll start:

-6'2"/185-190lbs

-215lb bench (1 rep)

-225lb squat (4-5 reps awhile ago)

-275lb deadlift (4-5 reps)

-175lb cleans (5-6 reps)

-500lb leg press (3 reps)

I started out last spring at 175lbs, skinny and weak. I could barely bench 135lbs and was struggling and scrawny. I started working out at the Advantage Club in Newark with Calvin Miles, and he turned me around. I have been taking Celltech creatine since summer, and have seen massive gains from it. I am trying to maintain now through indoor/outdoor track seasons and will begin gaining more once football lifting starts. I am looking to get to 200+ pounds for football season. 205lbs seems like a pretty realistic goal.

Lets see what you guys have got. I know you can do better than my scrawny ass.

havent been putting in as much effort as i used to, and a bulging disc from a car accident has been limiting me.

bench - 175 2x

before my back, i was leg pressing about 510 10x, so i probably could have went higher w/ less reps.

been doing more lower weight/higher reps than anything, and mainly all upper body, doc says not to do squats, leg press, etc etc. sucks, but i'd rather be without a bad back my whole life

That's a lot of weight in every lift Trent.

I'm surprised Brian hasn't joined in on this.

meh, not really. i was barely able to bench my body weight. i had a really good routine, and even better work out partner. my leg workouts have always been insane, though.

I started working out with my buddy 3 months ago. Once you can stick with its very rewarding.

Im 5'8 and was 130 when i started ( lanky as hell ) now im 155 and have gained no bf. Feels good man.

Bench :150 5x5

Squat :200 5x5

Havent really deadlifted much i need to start.

Curls:30 x10

Chinups 8x5

Pullups 8x5

I havent tried to max out yet.

12 x5 situps on the lowest incline level

Also do some random isolation workout's when i feel the need.

My first month i had a high protein and carb intake diet. Basically eat everything in site for a month or so. That got me my first 15 pound gain quickly. I then dropped down to a more normal diet but still high protein and did some cardio to drop the fat i gained.

I take multivitamins and 1 whey protein shake a day.

My goal by early summer is 160 pounds, 200 bench x5 and 300 squat.

The kid that I work out with is probably 5'10", 185-190.....this fucker benches 350, going for 365 soon. I don't get how he does it.

I'll get 225 as soon as I get pumped up enough. I need to get my leg lift weights up for football testing. I love doing tris on the dip machine with no leg brace holding you down. Control the weight up and down and keep your ass on the bench. Tough but effective. :)
