TTQ B4U
So every year we have 3-4 bird nests either on our arbor over the deck in the wisteria vine or in our roses or any number of the trees near our home. This year a nest of Robins built their nest right outside our windows to the kitchen. I think they had a fight with the Cardinals that usually build one near here. It's the perfect spot only it happens to be in a section of roses where the wind storms took their toll on the lattice work that I was going to replace. I suppose that project will have to wait. Finally got the money shot for the kids.....and the kid in me http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/112623665/original.jpg Here are 2 of the 3-4 little ones in there. It's cool for the kids as the nest is litterally right outside the window. I just removed the screen for a clear view. They seem to tolerate our movement in the kitchen area pretty well. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/112595102/original.jpg Here's a shot using a different camera. Something smaller that when set up doesn't stand out as much. Parents are still very leary of me being around and tend to dive bomb towards the window. The double pane glass in the windwo here causes a little glare and diffusion, but overall it's pretty good. The Polarizer helps a little. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/112621493/original.jpg Edited May 17, 2009 by TTQ B4U Added more photos

Alex L.
Will be cool for your kids to see the progression of the chicks maturing. When I was little, we had some baby birds that would hang out around the house. One of them was cool enough that I walked right up to it and we stared at each other. TTQ B4U
damn man! your camera must be high dollar! what camera is that? Yes/No. Depends on your definition of high-dollar. The first two are with a Canon EOS 40D and the third a nearly 8 year old Sony 717. If you're into DSLR's, I would highly suggest buying one used. There are tons of quality ones out there used with so many folks needing money. I bought my high-end 1DMKII for less than 50% of what it sold for new and that was over one year ago. No way I was going to spend $4k on one new. It's replacement isn't even as reliable either, so the benefit was huge. I really the 40D and use it more than my other ones.
