Ball Joint

Hi,

My name is Joe but everyone knows me as Ball Joint. I'm actually from Cleveland and am a member of Cleveland Racing but I have been down to the Columbus scene a few times with the rest of the Cleveland Racing guys. Your scene is crazy!

I drive a black 94 RX-7 that (on the last motor) makes 370whp. I have been in the Cleveland scene since 2002.

Anyway, I wanted to see what you guys are up to down in C-bus and when more events were going on. Thanks.

Neat, so why Ball Joint? There has to be a funny story behind that name...

Well... Back when I first got into cars I used to have this 95 Civic that had 3 bad balljoints. The crappy thing was that I didn't know I had a bad balljoint till one of them would break in a catastrophic way.

The one that sealed the deal for the nickname was when I was driving through a grocery stores parking lot to meet up with some car guys. As I made a turn to get into a parking space The drivers side upper balljoint snapped and the car skidded to a stop. Mind you this was in front of 20+ people and when I got out of the car one of them called me balljoint and the rest is history.

I have no idea why I still have the nickname as all the people who were in the scene at the time have quit messing with cars. I guess a name like balljoint is much easier to remember then someones real name. I don't mind it anyway.

Nice ride. I want your exhaust. What all is done to it? Welcome to the site.

Thanks man. I'm actually selling that exhaust. It's a old school pettit racing 3" exhaust with a custom tip. The original tip was this monster 5" tip so I had Slick Motorsports in Cleveland do a custom tip for me. It's downward sloping like a old school Porsche. If your interested PM me.

The car has alot done to it. Race ported engine, 3" DP,MP,CB, all emissions removed, K&N intakes, custom stock mount intercooler, Apexi PFC, Greddy Profec B, Non sequential turbos running 15psi, 4x850cc injectors, Walbro 255, and alot of other stuff but that's that basics.

not in the budget for a new exhaust right now, but I'd love to see more pictures of what you did with yours. I've really been wanting something like a RE-A "dolphin tail"...meaning a nice looking oval muffler with a turndown on it.

Would love to see more pics of the car.
