New pics of the Spyder

Saw you a couple of weeks ago when I was leaving the gym on lunch (Sawmill area). The stance on that car is perfect. The wheels are horrible but a necessity for the remainder of the winter. Can't wait to see it in the spring with some different rolling gear.

Andy

Yeah, It was so late in the year that I just stuck it out with the stock wheels I hate so much. I'm going to be putting snow tires on the stock wheels, and come spring time, put the new wheels on it.

OH, and here's a teaser for everyone.. what I have planned:

16x7.5j +30 front 195/40R-16

16x9j +20 rear 205/40R-16

Yes, I know it has a BMW cap on it, but that's not my picture either. Same wheel and tire combo but I plan on painting the centers red, just to give you guys an idea.

So RS's?

that'd be my next guess.

Those aren't RS's, but it would be classic VW fare if they were. Stretch, Poke and RS's:p

I still don't think they are, RS's have very visible bolts, and the lip extends into the wheel face. I don't think they are RS's. Their appears to be a lot few spokes on his wheels than the RS's as well.

Does this mean you will just leave it a hard top for good? How in depth is a "soft top delete" as you put it? It does look good though, almost looks like you raised the car up some since the last time I saw it. ;)

It looks like I raised it up because it's still not low enough

The soft top delete was actually a bitch. The hard top uses latches that are actually part of the soft top frame, so I had to find someone parting out a spyder and have him chop me up some frame pieces to use in place of my original soft top frame. I literally had to strip the entire interior, pull out the heavy ass(80'ish pounds) soft top and put all the interior panels back in that I could. took me a good 3-4 hours myself, but the end result is good! It's definitely staying like that for sure. I hate convertibles, and didn't want this car without the hardtop.

You're right, I do like them on e30s. Looking forward to the final result.

BINGO!

Someone did a photoshop for me:
