2001 silverrodeo runs like shit

For the longest time I got cam angle sensor and bad leftside u2 sensor codes so I replaced the cam angle sensor now the truck won't start and ideals?

 

4.3 v6 1500 series 2wd

Nope I put the rotor button back in the same spot

Still need help guys getting spark and I have 1/2 tank of gas. I tried spraying starting fluid in the engine and still nothing. Would there be anyone that has a diagnosing tool that could come to me? Of course would pay just lmk

sounds like your timing is off.

It sounds like that but only thing we did was change the cam angle sensor inside the dizzy and didn't touch anything else lol it weird. I tried just to put the old one back in but no success

Can any confirm that the rotor button on is 01 silverrado only goes on one way??

it only goes on one way unless you brake the alignment nipple off.

 

so let me run this down.

you have spark.

you did not remove the distributor.

it will not run on starting fluid.

 

did you pull the plugs to see if they are fuel fouled?

where did you check for spark at the coil or at the plugs?

Yup check plugs and they were fluid so got new ones. Never moved the distributor and both tabs are on the rotor button and check the spark at all the spark plugs

when you cranked it over did you hold it wide open so it would go into clear flood mode?

Yup and only thing we can get it todo is just putt putt and die out

I guess maybe somehow it jumped time so going to try and turn the dizzy and maybe it will work and I'll get a fuel pressure gauge to see how it goes. The reason he touched it was that a couple codes popped up and were both left bank u2 sensors and cam angle sensor

I did somemore googling and I guess the code p1345 could either be cam angle sensor or the crankshaft sensor so were going to try that next. Then if that don't work it said to check the dizzy gear to see if it's striped or the timing chain somehow jumped a tooth It only has 150k so that could possibly be the problem

Or if someone close or on the north side of Columbus has a snapon scanner to hook up on the truck will pay$$

Code 1345 Had the same thing on my truck fought it for months ended up being the dist. gear was worn razor sharp.....Pull the dist and check it..... Needed a scanner to reset the timing to 0 but cleared up the running problem for me.

Ya Steve o I didn't know that the crank sensor and the cam sensor were tied into each other but going to look at the dizzy gear first
