2 Sweet
If you decide on a vette style wheel, OEWheels has them cheap... http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-for-Camaro/c304226/
Mattsv8
Yep thats where ive been looking. i like the idea of the fastlanes cause not every camaro has them. just want something diff. but cheap is good too.
Richard Cranium
Is tire cost a factor in the decision? If so you might include 17" wheels in the choices. I think you can get a lot of the same options in 17" that you can in 18" and will save you a chunk on tires.
Patterson
What about just a color change on the current wheels? Doing what I do I've seen a lot of wheels totally change the whole look of a car just from that.
Skinner
personally I would get these http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/attachments/florida-classifieds/173911d1238886949-fs-zr1-17x11-wheels-tires-018.jpg or these http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/attachments/parts-classifieds/205201d1257782045-used-gm-4th-gen-camaro-ss-wheels-good-cond-325-shipped-p9140090-2.jpg Would not do chrome or black. Keep the OEM finish or have them painted gunmetal.
SinisterSS
I have the factory black 35th anniversary wheels on mine, very hard to get now
Mattsv8
i dont really care about tire price but i think the 18s look better the 17 still looks small for the wheel opening on the car. i evan thought about new camaro 20s in black oe wheels has them as well. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/18c6zo6norivet.jpg c6 z06 no rivets black pol lip http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/20newcamarowheelsinblack.jpg black new camaro 20" too big in my opinion http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/billetfastlanewheels.jpg billet specialties Fastlane im liking the look of the fast lanes wish i could find a black one with a set on it. i dont really wana run the factory style wheels cause everyone else has them but they are only 500 for the set. vs fast lanes wich are proably arround 1000 racer. 04silvrz
there would have to be MILLIONS of combo's on this site since 90% of the board owns or has owned a fbody. look at some user pics.
wagner
Over on LS1tech there is a thread in the wheels section that is nothing but OE rims on cars. Hit that up for reference.
Richard Cranium
Personally I prefer chrome. I'm not a big fan of black wheels, and polished is more work to keep clean. I run 17" Torque Thrust II's on mine and wish I could have gotten them chrome instead of polished. I hate my spring polishing sessions. 93fox
A set of ccw's, preferably the classics.
Cordell
Get anything other then Vette wheels, thats what everybody does. I've seen those deep dish Vette replicas in person and they look like ass, if you want to see them swing by Dave Gill the Vette is still on our lot. I like a few styles from Billet Specialties, and CCWs are always nice.
Mattsv8
i like the fast lanes theyre a lil cheaper line but still billet polished wheels. their main line wheels are about 200 to 400 more a peice. wana save a lil of my money for the long tubes, ofy and exh. plus pulley lid and bellows. then its done for the next few yrs till the loan is paid off. im searching for used lids and bellows, but so far on ls1 tech i cant post on the sales ads. iwashmycar
Im digging the Street Lites...not sure how much (assumably more) they are than the other billets above Front: 17x7 with 215/50ZR17 Back: 17x11 with 315/35R17 Toyo DRs http://images50.fotki.com/v1559/photos/0/134180/7858614/DSC_0699-vi.jpg http://images51.fotki.com/v1550/photos/0/134180/7857976/IMG_1329-vi.jpg http://images51.fotki.com/v1562/photos/0/134180/7858614/DSC_0693-vi.jpg
Mattsv8
i thought about the street lights as well. they are actually cheaper by about 100 each. but didnt see any 18" options. that does look quite bad ass though. is that your car or someones u found a pic of. Mattsv8
looked on their site. they deff have the sizes needed. but the 17s are not sfi so if your gona do some fast drag racing. they wont pass if the tech official checks them wich i doubt. but something to think about. mine wont need them not fast. iwashmycar
i wish it were mine lol. just did a search and came across them on a forum. thats strange that they are not sfi since they seem to be a very popular big and little combo. edit: Post 89 here: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tires/1199525-i-would-like-see-your-street-drag-setup-5.html more pics there too http://images50.fotki.com/v1570/photos/0/134180/7857976/CopyofIMG_1280-vi.jpg soo sick
FST94TSI
For me a nice set of wheels has to be staggered and have as big of a lip as possible on the back. The oe replica wheels that everyone is suggesting are a nice choice but if you want something a bit different without breaking the bank check out xxr wheels. Mattsv8
the 15" versions are sfi but the 16 17s are not. according to their site.
Mattsv8
i checked out the thread wow those streetlights looks badass. i think im gona do the 18" fast lanes ill post pics once i get them all mounted up. will be a while though. buying one wheel at a time. then tires. whats a good daily driverj tire for camaro in a 18" size
iwashmycar
The important question is what rim sizes? Dont want it looking like all those nasty Challengers out there riding on (4) 8" wide rims...
93fox
I just bout 2 toyo r888 off of ebay for $300 for the cobra. They're getting nothing but great reviews over on svt, great for traction for 600+ rwhp cars, good wet traction and lifespan comparable to the 555r. Look into them. Ill let you know how I like them when I get em mounted.
