I went out tonight for about an hour and hit a new top speed 75.4. The water was shit but the ski was still flying. I think there is a 76 in it the way it sits as I hit 75.4 after about 45 minutes of riding and the motor was heat soaked. The ski was turning 8120 to 8140.

I went 74.3 http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif on my ski today at 7960 RPM with the stock charger. I pulled my X charger and 42s out and put the stock parts back on the ski. Took it out and went 74 with out issue. That is until the front of my pump shoe broke off again. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif So much for my JB water weld ghetto fix. After the pump shoe broke the ski would not turn more than 7820 RPM and struggled to reach 70. I now know where all my missing MPH was with the X charger.

I think the ski would have hit 75 today if the water was better.....nothing but white caps.

With a new pump shoe I think the ski will very close to 80 with the new charger. :)

For those of you that don't understand what's going on, I went almost the same speed making 50 less HP. When I first put my ski in the water this spring with the X charger I was only running 73 MPH and there are hundreds of people with an X charger not running what I did with a stock charger, stock intercooler and stock ECU.

It's a big deal people :)

I've only done 75.9 with the X Charger. Like I said I know where all my missing MPH is now. I can't wait!!!

I installed my new RRFPR this weekend and ordered some duramix 4240 to fix the pump shoe that broke. I also picked up a SpeedFreeks pump shoe insert so this doesn't happen again. I also had IPS order an innovative MTX-L wideband for the ski for some old school tuning.

I'm going to cut the reverse bucket this weekend as I think there is another half MPH there. I should be right around 80 MPH in the next two weeks.

nifty placement!

could you have drilled the mirror so you still had some use of it or did you really just not care?

i guess when trying to go 80 on a damn jet ski you arnt worried about what is behind you lol

The mirror is glass so it could not have been drilled. I tried to use a cut-to-fit mirror and when I went to drill the hole it blew a part the plastic. I wasted about an hour of my life trying to get it to fit perfect, lesson learned.

i figured as much. i have never tried to drill glass but i know ceramic tile can be a pita.

on my ion the mirror's are actually plastic so i think it could be done if carefull.

found out they where plastic like the rest of the car when a phesant flew into the mirror at 75mph.

damn thing lived to lol
