Got my 03 20th Anniversary GTi about a year ago. I've done exhaust and a fmic. Haven't gotten it on the 1/4 mile yet. Just figuring out what the local car scene is like. Here's the car.(don't have many pictures)

My dad has an 07 Audi Rs4. I'll have this up at national trails soon.

And finally, this is our race prepared 86 Porsche 944 turbo.

Welcome to CR. Good looking cars. Hope to see you at some CR events this spring and summer.

BTW, the lemon-colored dub needs more low.

Haha I wish I could afford some more low right now. Thanks though. What kind of events do you guys hold? Is it mostly drag racing?

Nope. Drag racing is about 3-4 events per year where CR rents the whole track for the day (National Trail, Dragway 42, KilKare). We have a National Trail rental May 13th, BTW.

People here compete in lots of events. Autocross, track, spec, rallycross, cruises. There are motorcycle events, even a powerboat crew. A number of CR members hold records .... for example, earlier this month a member here was the first person to get into the 7's in the quarter mile with his street C6 Z06.

CR hosts car shows, evening meets, and a member here is a founder of Columbus Cars & Coffee, a weekly Saturday morning meet. The site sponsors dyno days and an annual road rally. There are many more informal events and gatherings set-up through the site as well. I'm sure I'm forgetting other major things that CR does, but I think you get the picture that it isn't just drag racing.

I invite you to explore the threads once your membership is approved. And, since you're the new guy, you really should introduce yourself to people when you come to an event.

Hope you make it out soon.

Oops. I forgot to mention, we have a "Rip Yer Oil Pump Out From Under Your Car" competition each year. Since you own a GTI, you're automatically entered.

Here is the current champ:

And his most recent victory:

So, as you can see, you've got a bit of lowering to do before next year's competition.
