TTQ B4U
Looking back 8 years that have just flow by, it's hard to believe that at age 33 I finally made the move to being a dad. If you've not had kids, If you don't ever think you want them, you might not care but IMO you're missing out on some truly memorable times that you just won't ever be able to compare to other stuff. I will warn you that life does change....for the better. Kids will most definitely open ones eyes to the fact that the greatest things in life are not the things. We just came off a great weekend and so yeah, I thought I would create a thread about kids. Welcome to my life of living as a kid once again. The following are what keep me going strong every single day. If you have kids post 'em! If you don't care, then click (Backspace). TTQ B4U
My first is due next month. I'm super pumped/excited and at the same time scared as fuck. Just remember: "every stain has a story" "it's just a car" "it's only money" There's plenty more, just start with those for practice. verse
I'll post pics later....and omg Sophia is a popular name! Our kids are doomed at school! Lol! That's one reason I'm glad my son has a name that will not be common. I spent my life as a Jon/John in school and it was annoying have 3+ kids in your class with the same name. zeitgeist57
That message is directed to Timmy the OP, but I appreciate the info, Rachelle! I like being a parent, as C&C attendees can attest, but unlike past idioms stating "It's a huge jump from 1 to 2 kids"...I've heard from other working parents that things REALLY change going from 2 to 3 kids. I'm wondering if Tim would still be so sunny with 3-4 kids instead of just two.

TTQ B4U
I'm wondering if Tim would still be so sunny with 3-4 kids instead of just two. My wife is 43 so she's ready to call it quits, but we're still playing it completely unsafe, so we just might. It all depends on the powers that be. Sophia took a bit of time and I'm not feeling confident a third will happen, but either way, I feel we win At this point, Nick is pretty self managing outside just needing some direction, so a third wouldn't be an issue. Other than our house is a big three bedroom with a fourth room set up as a bedroom in the lower level, although not an "official" bedroom due to to exit outside, etc.... He still wants to live down there since it's truly a cool man cave now

smokin5s
We have a 14 year old and an 8 month old... The stain quote is spot on... the only other thing to mention is "parents of teenagers understand why animals eat their young".... having a teenager in the house is very trying to say the least. The stain quote is spot on... the only other thing to mention is "parents of teenagers understand why animals eat their young".... having a teenager in the house is very trying to say the least. My neice is a teenager, she was adopted from my brother-in-laws first marriage and by far one of the coolest kids i know. Yeah shes your typical teenager but i always tell my sister shes fucking lucky that megan's not out rolling joints, skipping school and doing god knows what else and she has some good influences in her life. After hearding about her birth mother and the way they live, her life would be completely different had she not been adopted, different in a bad way. Tim, glad to hear you guys started when you were 33, i always wanted to start before i turned 30, my parents started when my dad was in his 20's and i didnt want to be "too old" to do fun stuff with my kids. But after going back to school i realized the kids plan might have to be pushed back a few years until after i graduate. Not sure if juggling a young growing family, home, school and work would even be possible. For now im content being the B.U.E. (acronym for Best Uncle Ever) to my neices and nephew.
