his power didnt go out, there was literally 3 ft of water that showed up in less than 10 mins. other people's situations may have been different.

 

I was saying for most people, if you have a mass amount of water fall for several hours with out electricity. Most sump-pumps are not going to be running.

I rent and no I do not have renters insurance

 

Not a slam, I just dont get how not having it sounded like a good idea?

 

The land lord wants to wait for every thing to dry e he starts replacing stuff

 

I'd move. Fuck that. No way I'd live in a place that this happened in or likely could happen in again. Imwould have asked aout flooding the moment I saw those walls. I bet this is not the first time.

Incase you are seeing the water line in the pics and thinking they are old they are not the water level on the door is where it was when the sump pump and drain finally started keeping up with the flow coming in
