Stallion Motorsports1647545491
Driving home from work tonight i noticed what sounded like road noise, however it isn't going away. there is no vibration, tires are new, runs fine, and shifts fine. it gets louder with higher speeds, and drones down as you are coming to a stop. i havent had time to look at it yet, looks like i have something to do tomorrow. any ideas??? tom

dover
wheel bearing. I agree. Had one go bad on my trailblazer and had no vibration but hot damn that thing made all sorts of noise!
Green Bastard
Sounds like a wheel bearing to me too, when I got my wifes car I thought it was just road noise too until I drove it one day and realized the pitch changed in corners
Xyster101
+1 to wheel bearing(s) Other options: Bad CV joint Tire tread separating from belts if they are cheap tires. (happened to me once)
iwashmycar
Did anyone say wheel bearing? They fail that way to let you know!...and to annoy the shit outta ya. I had friend with a Stratus that had one go... sounded like a fart-can exhaust (that went by speed instead or rpms) lol Left it like that for months. Jizzle Juice
MAke sure when testing wheel bearing you look at both, dont assume that because the noise is coming from the right side that the right one is bad. Ask me how i know? lol
Drewhop
Weaving back and forth slowly while driving can sometimes help narrow down which wheel bearing is causing the noise.
