Tim Davis Posted November 3, 2011 Report Share Posted November 3, 2011 Finally took the time to strip off the old purple tint and took it last weekend for some new 20% all the way around. The old tint was on the car when I bought it 16 years ago and was really showing its age. I've wanted to do this for several years but kept putting it off because of fear of how difficult stripping it would be. Couple hours with a steamer and it was done. He ended up gifting it to me when I left for college. He's the coolest brother right? Well, he still is but he did it in preparation for a divorce :dumb: It was all I could do to afford insurance on it at age 20 though, so I had to leave it stock. Doesn't mean I'd buy one, but thanks to the guys I've met at Cars and Coffee, Doc, Jones, and others I've developed more of an appreciation for these cars and how well they are engineered.
