DeShaun Thomas definitely OSU's MVP for the first weekend.

49 points and 19 rebounds.

Also scored 10 straight points in 4 minutes with Sully off the floor in foul trouble.

Thomas may be the best player on the team :gabe:

OSU is just so inconsistent offensively. Don't know a ton about Cincy aside from Yancy Gates. Is he a guy who will end up on Sully or Thomas?

Gates should be on Sullinger. They have A LOT more than just Gates. The sweater man, Cashmere Wright, Kilpatrick who can light it up from 3,.......and a few others. Cincy has talent. This should be a hell of a game and I think it's really a toss up on who wins.

Gates is a physical center. OSU will have to play high-low with Sully and Thomas and make sure to not force it if it isn't there. Craft and Smith Jr. need to drive a lot and need to keep their eyes open for Sully and Thomas. The best way to get points is going to be to constantly attacking the paint with multiple guys. They play Gates and 4 guards and outside of Gates they average 6'2. OSU has like 4" average on them. People are trying to liken this to the UK matchup last year, but UK had much more size and even Harrellson had an inch and 20 pounds on Gates.
