Winter Wheels....

The LM60 is no where near what the LM25V was in terms of road performance. The LM60 is an H rated at best, tall siped traditional snow tire. The LM25V's were V rated with a small layer of MLC material and stiffer material after that. They handled as well as any all season when it was just cold / dry out.

I can completely attest to the handling. I don't know the LM-60's at all but have read the same as what you've posted on BMW and G8 Boards. The 25's tear it up dry or not. I like them as in my case the OZ's they are on are 17lbs ea. vs the stock wheels at 24lbs ea.

Purple, definitely purple!

tl;dr

try a high visibility construction yellow.

Other motorists will see you better during the arctic blizzards that commonly hit columbus ohio.

Tried that. Didn't like it. (okay it's not fully yellow..)

A lot of people are very upset by them dropping the LM25V in all but a few sizes as it sucks handling wise vs the LM25V.

The only common option left is the Dunlop Wintersport 3D's. Been using them for years and even preferred them to the LM25V's so I'm not really affected.

The LM60's are better in super deep snow and ice, but suck by comparison in dry road handling ect.

They seem fine for a daily, had them on last winter too. I have no complaints.

Thoughts on graphite for a color?

I have used that exact paint. It looks good, but it's difficult to get a smooth reflective surface out of it. Gives the wheels a very "OEM" style grey look.

You recommend a different product? I was stuck between that and glossy black engine enamel.

Yes actually. Just did my winter wheels in Rustoleum "Black Night". It's a metallic that looks either black or grey depending on the light.

Here is the duplicolor graphite that you were looking at:

Sorry for the blurry photos, it's cold as hell outside and my hands were shaking. Here is rustoleum black night:

Finally mounted the repainted wheels today and my new bumper as well. A tip will be going in soon.

I'm man enough to admit I like it a lot better than what I had before.
