My new Solstice GXP

Some of you may know that I was searching for a Solstice GXP for the last few months. I picked this one up in PA last Thursday. It's a 2007 black on black GXP convertible, 5-speed manual, leather seats, PW, PL, PM with a 2.0L Turbo. It is said to be faster that an Mazdaspeed Miata (in a straight line...) These were taken after a quick wash (4 inches of snow and salt in PA).

It's remarkable condition, looks barely driven.

Awesome pickup.

Whilst I'm not a fan of "Murdering" something out, I would entertain plasti-dipping the front chrome pillars.

It's not chrome. The windshield surround is silver, as is the entire frame of the car.

Nice pick up. Also, I know it was a problem with the Sky's, but not sure about the Sol...don't slam the hood shut while the doors are open. ;)

Buddy of mine has that same car. We put an aftermarket exhaust on it in my garage. Sounds sweet now. He also had the dealer install some performance upgrade...not sure what it was..."stage" something. He opted for that because they would cover it in the warranty. Anyway...nice cars. Tons of fun. Sad, I thought Ponchos were on the right track when they got axed.

Fits okay? I'm 6'5'' and I wouldn't mind one of these in the future...

He sits a little more upright then he usually does, I've driven it, I'm 5' 10", and its about all the way back for me. If I get in his Trans Am I have to move the seat forward a couple clicks, but his Solstice doesn't need moved for me, if that makes sense.

Jones, as he said it is silver and I was thinking the same thing when I got it. Why is this the only exterior piece that does not match. I'm not much for murdering out a car but I think that I will tint the back up lights and the amber turn signals in front of the front wheels. Other than that I will get rid of the GM badges on the sides of the car and still debating if I want to keep the badges on the back of the car.

I'm 100% with you.

That is the only thing that "sticks out" on the car, looks fricken awesome man!

Do you know what kind of exhaust he put on the car?

I'm not a fan of the honeycomb grill either but I haven't seen anything else. I'll have to research, I'm sure someone makes something.

I would think so. The downside is the production run is limited. Same with my Grand Prix GXP. Demand wasn't there like it is for Honda's, etc....

As far as grills go, you can get a mesh grille, which I don't really like too much on this car...maybe black or gun metal mesh would be better. I do like the recessed honeycomb grills you can get though. They're silimar to the ones on the SEMA concept GM had.
