First time I got on the internet was at my dad's work somewhere around '96-97. I remember all I kept searching for was a place to download free games. That was before Google, Yahoo was still boss (saying something was boss however was already uncool by then). For some weird reason AOL wasn't available where I grew up ¯\(°_o)/¯

 

In my high school we had broadband (1999) so I would download all my songs from napster during school cause fuck spending 5 hours trying to download one song, just to have it interrupted when your mom picks up the phone and kicks you offline.

I think i was on the internet around 1996. However before that I did all my gaming on Bullitein boards playing text based RPG games with other people. That was awesome using my 2400 baud modem on my 486 33mhz processor!!

I doubt that's the oldest since the internet has been around since AL Gore used a roll of bailing twine, half a pack of chewing gum, and the ignition coil from a Prius to create it in the mid 70s.

 

Though I think 4chan retroactively predates the internet.

I think i was on the internet around 98. Def in chat rooms chatting it up. We got high speed in 2001. Shit was crazy. Never went back. Tech. has come so much so quickly. We have 2000X more power in an iPad vs what we sent to the moon. I can't wait to see the next decade enfold.

was on le innernets in 95' on the parents computer. Vividly remember me and a group of friends trolling the piss out of lesbians in an AOL chat room; they flipped, called in some "Guide_ftp" (whatever the fuck that is) and got our account/connection immediately suspended...."goodbye" (no joke). Took the rents about a week to get it back online again:gabe:. Fawk I miss the 90's.
