evan9381
anyone know how small a #1 easy out is? http://www.lowes.com/pd_232606-1083-358241_0__?productId=1065081&Ntt=screw+extractor&pl=1¤tURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dscrew%2Bextractor&facetInfo= i've got a tiny screw on my bike i managed to strip the allen key hole on, and while it doesnt need to come out right now, i need to replace the bolt so if it does need to come out, i can do it on the side of the road with my tool i carry with me. the whole head of the bolt is only about 4mm, the allen key bit is between 1-2mm (not sure exactly, its so small its not labeled on my key). or if anyone has an easy out that may be smaller towards the easton side of town i could borrow for a bit, it'd be much appreciated. much further it'll probably be easier for me to pick one up somewhere, if i can find one small enough. thanks in advance. brent1976
I don't know if they are small enough, but I use these every once in a while at work, and they work better than the old timey kind. http://www.craftsman.com/shc/s/p_10155_12602_00952151000P

Gergwheel1647545492
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/WESTWARD-Screw-Extractor-2RUL8 looks like 1/16 I would go with the Brent's link though, I have used those in the past and they are VERY nice to just have around in case of emergency. Cordell
Did you say allen head you stripped? Have you tried hammering in a similar sized torx? or if its fubar'd that bad you can try the easy out.
Science Abuse
Easy outs have a minimum useful size. They are hardened steel and require a bit of torque to work... so once you get small enough, they just shatter.

TurboNova
I vote hammering in a torx bit or going with the left hand drill bit and extractor set next up
