RyM3rC
funyuns or doritos for sure... although I'm not sure funnyuns count as potato chips, and neither one are made from potatos (I'm thinkin corn). Perhaps that makes them more American?

My vote goes for conns or lays even though both suck, and mid 90s conns commercials were done on a $250 dollar zanesville budget.

Doc1647545523
Mike-sells potato chips has got to be one of the oldest American potato chips, and they are still made in Dayton. I can't say they're my favorites, but they might be the quintessential American chip. When I was growing up, there were mostly local potato chip companies, because the product didn't stay fresh very long and didn't travel well. One of the popular regional brands was New Era (made in Detroit), which was touted as a health food! The can said it was scientifically proven, so we knew we were eating right. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/KGrHqIOKjYE3QRb706BNNy1U-w0_35.jpg These cans were perfect for all the scientific projects/experiments/warfare that we devoted our summers to when we were youngsters.
