Tinman Posted April 29, 2012 Report Share Posted April 29, 2012 First, and I'm pretty sure the answer is no but I'll ask anyway, is there anything out there that sprays on, hoses off, and is effective? If not what's the best long lasting and easy to apply wax that doesn't cost mega bucks? Here's the situation, I have roughly 400 sq.ft. of enclosed trailer I'm trying to keep looking nice and routinely have to use a rather aggressive cleaner to remove black streaks. Opti-Seal seems like it should be right up your alley. Berto Posted April 29, 2012 Report Share Posted April 29, 2012 I got this stuff for my daily drivers. For the shine snobs its not as good as wax but supposedly protects pretty well (its a sealant). AudiOn19s Posted April 30, 2012 Report Share Posted April 30, 2012 There's no substitute for getting the surface bare (light polish) and getting a good base coat of something synthetic and long lasting down. From there it should be easier to maintain and you can use one of the spray products after each wash to help boost longevity of the base coat. spankis Posted April 30, 2012 Report Share Posted April 30, 2012 My experience is from camping trailers, but from what I've seen if you keep the roof clean the black streaks are much less prevalent. If the roof is clean there is no black to streak . I know there are a lot of camper/fiberglass gelcoat specific products that target your problem, but I'm guessing yours is aluminum.
