Draco-REX
Do you know how downforce works regarding rear wings? Yes I do. I was literally not sure if you were being serious or just making fun of the big wing. Looking at the picture the wing seems to have a pretty big curve to it, but also a high amount of angle to it. The end-plates are far forward, but the center of the wing appears to be in a good position. Thing is, while the air might be cleaner where the endplates are, the wing would still be more effective if it were straight. But I do think it would be effective. This wing is even further forward: http://www.marcadecoche.com/images/Mitsubishi-Lancer-Evolution-WRC0566.jpg But I'm sure this wing has had a lot more wind tunnel time as well. Considering I don't plan to track the BRZ, if I were to do something silly like spend the money for the body kit above, the wing would be for show, or even not on the car. I think it would just as good or better with the simple TRD or 5:AD duckbill.
coltboostin
I dotn think the wing is back far enough... pretty much just "cosmetic" at that point. Boy you crazy- At the rear, the air will follow any smooth contours (speed variable) so at any "track speeds-the airstream will be stuck to that rear window until it has enough velocity to overcome the negate pressure created. AKA-that wing will be WELL int he airstream. A few examples-note the rear of the stream.... http://static.ddmcdn.com/gif/1984-corvette-6.jpg http://www.corvetteblogger.com/images/content/072711_13.jpg Full explanation on a car with a MUCH lower wing http://www.roogio.com/2012-techarts-rear-spoiler-collections-for-the-porsche-911/

AND, the higher the wing can clear the roof line the better. As well, the wider the better too.... But, the more it hangs off the trunk the better....Before we continue this conversation... please contact this guy. Then let's talk about trunk overhang and how it effects downforce. http://www.goodaero.com/JSG/GOODAero.nsf/WhyAero?Open
Draco-REX
I agree. My only disagreement was that the GRMN wing was functional, if not optimal.
Draco-REX
Another one not to my liking, but might be to someone else: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af50/ForjWorks/AirRex/FR-S500px.jpg

Draco-REX
It looks like they set the 2JZ way back in the chassis to try and maintain the balance of the car. That's interesting.

Draco-REX
That red one with the red overlays on the tails looks fantastic. The body kit/wheels on that is the 5 Axis Designs kit that's available through Scion dealerships. I'm not sure what coilover kit it's using.
