DKilbourne
Is the front bumper deformed? o_O Looks that way. I guess having turbos as bumper supports will do that How about the back tires off of the ground?
LPFSTheFett
It only looks like that at 200+ so unless you have it on film you won't see it. I guess when you're the first one to go in the 200's in a C6 vett 1/4 mile, your going to find out problems that nobody thought about lol... Turbotrio
OH SHIT! Did he have any issues with the chutes pulling the car around? No, it never moved side-to-side at all just lifted the rear off the ground on the two 209mph passes. Even when it blew the tires off the car was straight down the track all day with the new suspension / chassis adjustments we made at 3am that morning Jeff

DaddyBuiltRacing
Haha that bumper looks awesome and yeah fuck havnig the rear tires come off the ground. Seems like everyone is starting to go really fast here lately, just had a FWD Honda go 8.33 and 188mph last night

Alex L.
That's exactly what I wouldn't want to happen at 200+.

Draco-REX
Might be time for one of those flight-deck rear spoilers. EDIT: Or on second thought, mounting the chutes above the center of gravity might help keep the rear down (but also might lift the nose). Never had to look into mounting parachutes to my slow cars. Sam1647545489
Did he drive thru the chute. Suppose to keep in it when you pull the chute and not hit the brakes. I am sure Mark knows this but this is what happens when you try to brake before chute deploys.
gbracing81
Question, is there any positive air pressure in front of the turbo at 200+ MPH?
Draco-REX
Question, is there any positive air pressure in front of the turbo at 200+ MPH? At first I thought: "Duh, of course there is!" Then I thought about it for a moment... I wonder that also. I'm not sure how to be certain. I'm sure there's some math somewhere that would figure it out. I am sure Mark knows this but this is what happens when you try to brake before chute deploys. Many people have asked that... My v300sd+ smart wire monitors everything.... The logs show me at full throttle for almost a second after the chutes were deployed.... I wait for them to "pop" before I lift.
