zeitgeist57
Would you could you? http://www.autoblog.com/2012/09/20/2013-fiat-strada-first-drive-review/ I love the idea, and this would probably be a very successful niche for the U.S. I know Chevy is bringing their "global" unibody-based Colorado to the States... Not for me, though. If it realistically got 45+MPG with a diesel/stick powertrain, I might consider it, as you could put a hitch on the back and tow bulkier loads with a HF trailer. However, cheap pickups rule.
Cordell
No thanks, there would have to be some great things about that thing to get me past the styling. Didn't read the article, just saw this thing that reminded me of a Subaru Baja.

Mr. Jones
God no. Not good at being a truck. Slow. Ugly. 2200lbs towing. SERIOUSLY?
SpaceGhost
Isn't that what a Honda Ridgeline is today?
Draco-REX
Not going to sell in the US. They'll run into the same issues the Baja had, but with two less doors, worse seating in the back, and less useable bed space. Not to mention it won't have the "Cult of Subaru" to drive even mild sales. It'll be fine for other parts of the world, but not here. Tripleskate
I think they would need to slap a turbo on the motor to knock it up to at least 150+hp/200+lb-ft tq before an American would sit their fat ass into one. Even though it is compact, there are too many unappealing factors for the American truck market. Edit: Didn't open the article before posting. LOL good luck pitching that thing in the states, it looks useless! I bet my 3 could move around as much or more lumber, tools, etc. than that thing.
