El Karacho1647545492
Only two wagons I have in my list, Cadillac CTS-V Sportwagon and Buick Roadmaster Estate. Another vote for the Roadmaster Estate. Big V8 + RWD + gobs of space what more could you want? I think under $12k a lot of the Audis you'll find are somewhat ragged out. The V70R is a great option but IMO the experience of being inside a Volvo is snoozeworthy. The LGT would get my vote, might have to stretch upward in price range for a worthy candidate though. Aaron
Volvo has the best seats, IMO. Only think that could make them better is the thigh extensions.
greg1647545532
My old SVT suspensioned Focus wagon. http://steronz.com/gallery/albums/cars/wagon_craigslist/normal_IMG_4924.JPG Cheap to buy, cheap to run, only about 2700 lbs, fun to drive, and you can get it with a manual. It's a truly honest little wagon. But judging from the other replies in this thread, this won't get any love. Alas, they didn't make a SVT Type-ST Supercharged Roush edition wagon with 350hp and a RWD conversion.
Drewhop
I have a 98 Volvo v70 XC Awd and a 95 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. My next wagon will be a v70r . Here is a another good Volvo forum to get some information. http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/
o0n8
You can get 1st gen mazda6 wagon with a manual for sub 10k Really wished they brought the new 6 wagon here. http://media.caranddriver.com/images/media/472931/2014-mazda-6-wagon-photo-477043-s-520x318.jpg +1 on volvo wagons
Trouble Maker
- LGT Wagon (dunno if the wagons came in Spec.B form?) The LGT would get my vote, might have to stretch upward in price range for a worthy candidate though. Unfortunately they didn't have a spec.b wagon here. Also, for the newer body style (03-09?), they only had a manual LGT wagon in 05. I was looking for these, and some other similar cars last summer. They seemed relatively rare due to only 1 year of them being made. I can't 100% remember the prices, but IIRC for $12k you either looking at higher miles (90k~100K+), or you might want to spend a bit more. Rustlestiltskin
OP, we've told you of some great wagons that would fit the bill (A4/S4 Avant, V70r, CTS-V wagon, etc..). Hope you find one soon and post pics!
Lauren
The search is on and after looking at wagons I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with an S4 wagon. The debate now is B5 vs B6 turbo vs N/A. And I'll be damned if those door blades on the B6 have me leaning that way LOL

Lauren
Seeing as it's a daily the B6 is the smartest choice but the thought of a 11 sec daily wagon is just to tempting lol.

Yeah, I really want an avant now.. But my b6 has been a great daily, avg 20 mpg combined, no problems with it what so ever. Let me know if you need me to look over one before you buy, I'd be happy to go with. I've had multiple b5s and there's 2 b6s in my family. Crossle
You can also add "shooting brake" to your list. Legacy GT Wagon 5MT checking in. The later ones are turbo charged as Trish pointed out. Love me some wagons, presuming you are on facebook, check out the "Wagon Mafia" page for some inspiration.
